It was great to meet everyone yesterday and to hear people's stories. Thank you all so much for sharing your experiences and, of course, for inviting me to speak with your group.

Please leave your thoughts on the session in the comments below. Much appreciated.

Julie Anne is an articulate and knowledgeable speaker. The session was well attended and it was obvious that the audience found the talk interesting. We had questions at the end of both sections.
Fellow suffers of Julie Anne had been attracted to the session and it was interesting finding out about the different ways the illness manifest itself.
Overall one of our better talks.

Julie is a very confident speaker and clearly has a deep understanding of dissociative disorders. The discussion blended theory and lived experience in a way that made the evening insightful and personal. I came away with a much greater awareness and sensitivity to the topic and would highly recommend the talk to others.

The only comment I have regarding what could be improved is including a focus on coping strategies or working with people who dissociate. Coming away from the evening with some grounding techniques would have been very useful for the future.

Hi, Jordan. Thanks again :) Not sure if I mentioned it on Tuesday but the second session I'm currently preparing is focussed on handling distressed or potentially dissociating or anxious individuals. This will be an add-on to the initial session making it a longer day or offered as a standalone session for those who have attended the first one.

Julie Ann is confident and knowledgeable about the subject. The talk was a good mix of theory and Julie Ann’s lived experience with dissociative identity disorder and its symptoms. It is so important that people whether professionals or survivors are taught about this condition as it is so wrongly and under diagnosed. The more awareness the more help will hopefully become available.

Julie Ann,

I very much enjoyed your talk & found it both informative & insightful. Dissociation is such a broad topic, ranging from complete breaks in continuity & memory, to more conscious experiences of altered identity states. Hearing about the subject from your own unique perspective made it much easier to understand. I have always found that Mental Health talks are far better when the speaker has direct personal experience.

I still haven't worked out my own identity issues, but your talk was very enjoyable & helpful. Thank you for travelling such a long distance to speak to us.

Kindest regards,

Tony
